Top 25 College Football Scores

If you’re looking for the top 25 college football scores, you’ve come to the right place. Check out Penn State’s comeback victory over Purdue, Ohio State’s win over Toledo, Florida’s comeback victory over South Florida, and Texas Tech’s upset over North Carolina State. These scores will help you determine which teams are worth watching next season.

Penn State beats Purdue in college football

While Purdue had its chances, the Nittany Lions dominated down the stretch. The Boilermakers struggled with penalties and missed tackles on offense and defense. With the game tied at 31 at the half, the Nittany Lions marched down the field for a touchdown. The Nittany Lions had less than a minute to score, and they made it count. Penn State beat Purdue 35-31 on Saturday in their season opener.

Penn State’s offense will be in full force in Ross-Ade Stadium. It will be led by second-year offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich and six-year quarterback Sean Clifford. The team is in search of a dominant offensive line that can protect Clifford and create room for two promising tailbacks.

Ohio State defeats Toledo

Ohio State is undefeated heading into week three of the Big Ten season and will need a victory to avoid dropping its first game of the season. But before the Buckeyes can do so, they’ll have one more tune-up game against in-state rival Toledo. Toledo, part of the Mid-American Conference, is 2-0 this year after wins over Long Island University and UMass. But Toledo hasn’t beaten Ohio State since 1921 and has been 0-3 in the series.

The Buckeyes scored their first touchdown in more than half the game’s first half. Toledo’s first series in the second quarter included a fourth-and-five to Ohio State’s 27 yard line, and it didn’t take long for Ohio State to get there. On the next series, Ohio State ran for 74 yards and a touchdown. Toledo’s first two series of the second half ended in a punt, and the Buckeyes were on their way to a 38-14 lead at the half.

Florida rallies to beat South Florida

After trailing by as much as 20 points in the first half, Florida rallied to beat South Florida. The Seminoles were able to hold off South Florida’s defense and score two touchdowns on their final possession of the game. The Bulls’ offense didn’t produce many big plays early in the game, but the Bulls’ secondary stepped up and led the way in the second half.

The Bulls, also known as the USF Bulls, are a team in the NCAA Division I ranks. They compete in the American Athletic Conference. They also play in the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association.

North Carolina State beats Texas Tech

With just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half, North Carolina State defeats Texas Tech 20-7. The Wolfpack started the game on their own 32, and NC State quickly moved up the field. In the third quarter, Smith connected with Myles Price on a 10-yard gain on first down. On fourth down, Texas Tech is down to their own 8-yard line. Smith completes the pass to Myles Price on the sideline for a first down. A couple plays later, he scrambles for five yards and scores the game’s first touchdown.

Texas Tech was coming off a win over No. 21 Texas and was receiving votes from the Top 25. NC State had to win against a Power-5 team and Texas Tech is a great team against them. Despite a poor second half performance against East Carolina, the Wolfpack have an advantage with their experienced team.

Oklahoma beats UTEP in college football

Oklahoma is a heavy favorite to win this game and should be favored to cover the spread. The Sooners have won five straight and are the only Big 12 team to defeat UTEP at home. However, UTEP did give the Sooners a tough game last year and covered the spread as a 29-point home favorite. That was an excellent showing for a young team that hasn’t played a power conference team since the early 2000s. Despite this, UTEP has some question marks going into this game.

UTEP is led by quarterback Gavin Hardison, who threw for almost 300 yards in UTEP’s opener against North Texas. Hardison had a plus-three quarterback rating last year, and he’s able to throw the ball accurately behind the best offensive line in a couple of years. In addition, UTEP had two 100-yard receivers in the opener.
