Celebrity All-Star Game MVP of All-Star Game 2022
Celebrity All-Star Game MVP of All-Star Game 2022, The NBA All-Star Game is a great opportunity for the best players in the league to show their stuff. It’s also a chance to pick up an additional trophy — the All-Star Game MVP award.
Kobe Bryant and Bob Pettit hold the record for most All-Star Game MVP trophies won. But LeBron James is closing in on them. Eight players have won the award twice. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Allen Iverson, Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Julius Irving, and Isiah Thomas.
LeBron James
LeBron James is a household name in Cleveland and one of the most dominant players in NBA history. He is no stranger to All-Star Games and he has been named the Conference Captain for five times.
Team LeBron had a chance to win the all-star game in Los Angeles on Sunday night, but instead, they lost 148-145. It was their first loss in six All-Star captaincies.
It wasn’t a perfect game – it had plenty of dunks, but there were also a lot of half-court misses. Damian Lillard drained eight 3-pointers for the winning team. And Giannis Antetokounmpo had 31 points and 20 rebounds.
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Giannis Antetokounmpo, the two-time NBA MVP and Milwaukee Bucks star. Made a record 16-for-16 from the field in the All-Star Game Sunday night. He scored 35 points for Team LeBron and joined Wilt Chamberlain as the only player in All-Star history to shoot 16-for-16 from the field on a single occasion.
Despite his early success in the NBA. Antetokounmpo remembers his family struggling hard to make ends meet while growing up in Greece. He and his brothers would often report for practice on a near-empty stomach in the modest neighborhood of Sepolia.
The club coach, Spiros Velliniatis, was impressed by their determination and mental toughness. He enlisted the help of a local restaurant owner to prepare sandwiches for them while they trained.
Luka Doncic
One of the most exciting players in the NBA this season is Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic. He’s having a stellar season so far, leading the league in points per game and earning back-to-back All-NBA First Team honors.
In addition to his amazing stats, Doncic also stands out for his flashy play on the court. He’s scored 40 or more points on 11 different occasions, including three 50-point games and a 60-point triple-double in late December.
Doncic’s case for All-Star MVP keeps getting stronger. He’s been a force to be reckoned with in every single game this season and should have a huge impact on Sunday night’s all-star game, too.
Donovan Mitchell
Donovan Mitchell has been a rising star in the NBA over the past few years. He’s a great shooter and a talented athlete.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are relying on him to take their team to the next level and help them win more games. He’s been a big reason why they’re a top-five team in the league right now.
He’s also been a great contributor to charity work. Helping to refurbish basketball courts at The Children’s Village Community Center in New York. Where his grandmother worked. He’s even a finalist for the NBA’s Community Assist Award.
Damian Lillard
If Lillard were to be selected as the MVP of the All-Star Game. It would make him a household name and an important addition to his storied career. He’d be the first Blazer to receive that honor.
His All-Star selection could also help cement the Blazers’ place among the best teams in NBA history. During his time in Portland, he’s been the league’s leading scorer and is known for his sharpshooting.
Damian Lillard is a perennial All-NBA player and his ability to win the 3-point contest and slam dunk competition should help him earn his seventh All-Star selection. He’s also a likely lock for the 2023 All-Star Game, which will be held in Salt Lake City.
