Arkansas Tech Men’s Basketball is Looking For a Dynamic Head Coach

Arkansas Tech University is looking for a dynamic, proven leader to lead the mens basketball program. The program has a rich tradition of success, boasting 1,348 career wins, 21 regular season conference titles, and 20 postseason trips to the national tournament. The Arkansas Tech mens basketball program won back-to-back NAIA Division I national championships in 1991 and 1992. In the 1991-92 season, the Golden Suns finished with an overall record of 35-1, winning 28 of their final 28 games by twelve points or more. The 1992 team defeated Wayland Baptist University in the national championship game, while the 1993 team defeated Union University. From 1987 to 2003, head coach Joe Foley led the team.

Arkansas Tech’s men’s basketball program has a rich history. The program has won 12 NAIA national tournament appearances, and moved to NCAA Division II membership in 1996. This year’s team will be led by Sam Smith, a freshman who averaged 19.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and a steal per game.
